Andrew Lang is a composer and pianist based in Adelaide, Australia, and joins Rusted Tone Recordings with his latest album, 'Momentary Senses'.

The album creates a sense of closeness and intimacy, with Andrew exploring an exaggerating the characterful sounds of the upright piano. It is gentle, intricate and a celebration of imperfection. In Andrew's own words, "'Momentary Senses' came at a point of artistic and personal transformation; it was a form of meditation & therapy, as well as an artistic challenge".

Drawing from influences including Nils Frahm, Phillip Glass and Max Richter, Andrew has been exploring a delicate combination of ambient, modern classical and drone compositional styles.

Listening to 'Momentary Senses' is a particularly moving experience, capturing and imbuing a much-needed feeling of optimism. The album is fragile, honest, and a fitting way to draw 2020, a year of many challenges, to a close.
